We chose Stripe Climate because it doesn't fund traditional offsets. Instead, it pools demand from contributors to make catalytic purchases from frontier carbon removal companies — direct air capture, ocean alkalinity, mineralization, biomass. These are the technologies the IPCC has flagged as essential to reaching net-zero, and they need early customers to drive their costs down.

As an IT services and software company, our carbon footprint is real — data centers, networking equipment, employee travel, cloud workloads. Stripe Climate is a program that pools funds from thousands of businesses to purchase permanent carbon removal — technologies that pull CO₂ out of the atmosphere and store it for 1,000+ years. Funded projects include direct air capture, mineralization, ocean alkalinity, and biomass carbon removal. Unlike traditional offsets (forestry, renewables), Stripe Climate exclusively funds frontier carbon removal that needs early demand to scale.
ITP360 contributes a percentage of every transaction processed through Stripe to its Climate program. The contribution comes from our revenue — never added as a surcharge to client invoices. You can verify our public profile and commitment on the Stripe Climate site.
Traditional offsets (tree planting, avoided emissions) are important but cannot deliver the scale required to reach net-zero. The IPCC has determined that significant permanent carbon removal — measured in gigatons per year — is needed to meet climate targets. These technologies need early customers to scale costs down. Stripe Climate is one of the largest organized purchasers of permanent carbon removal in the world.
No. Our contribution to Stripe Climate is funded entirely from ITP360 revenue. There is no surcharge, line item, or rate change on client invoices. Our managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and fiber pricing remains unchanged.
Any business that uses Stripe for payment processing can opt into Stripe Climate from the Stripe Dashboard. You choose the percentage of revenue (starting at 1%). If you process payments through another platform, look for partners like Patch, Climeworks, or Frontier that offer similar carbon removal purchase programs.
